Hi there!
I’m Mary, otherwise known as Sunny Side Up in 1st. I taught first grade in Savannah, GA for 4 years and first grade has my heart! The students are at such a fun age, and it’s amazing to see all the growth that they make throughout the year. I am now a stay-at-home mom to our 2 year old daughter and absolutely loving it. However, I still enjoy making classroom resources that teachers can easily implement and students love using.
During my 4 years of teaching, I learned so much about creating a classroom environment that students truly love to be in. I also developed many routines and organizational tools that allowed me to engage my students while spending as little extra time as possible at school. My hope is that the resources and information I share helps both teachers and students enjoy their time at school. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my husband, daughter, and golden retriever, Millie, watching Georgia football, reading, and trying new baking recipes. I’m so happy you’re here!
